Their legacy site lacked the functionality for clients to customize orders and purchase online. Toolkart aimed to strengthen their online presence by launching an advanced marketplace, providing customers with seamless order customization and expanding their digital footprint.

  • Annual Order Schedule (AOS): The annual order schedule feature allows customers to place orders for the year. The feature provides Toolkart visibility into orders and accurately calculates sales.
  • Repair and Regrinding Services: This feature allows customers to easily place orders for product repairs and regrinding. Toolkart partners with a vast network of vendors and dealers to provide these services. Customers can simply enter their product details, including type, material, and other specifications, to have their tools expertly serviced.
  • Recommendation Engine: In case the name of a product is forgotten, customers can click on the recommendation engine, and the system will suggest several options.
  • Catalog Bookshelf: The catalog bookshelf helped our customer learn more about brands in their store. They could prioritize and read these brand documents for information on product usage and handling.
  • Technical Information and Calculator: These are Engineering formulae that customers can use to simplify machining tasks. Available at the front end with the calculation feature, it makes it simpler to search for products, once values are derived.
  • Grade and Geometry Comparison: Customers can find grade or geometry products similar to the ones they searched for. This enables them to purchase close substitutes when the product they need is unavailable.
  • Vendor Sub-Accounting and Buyer Sub-Accounting Module: Vendors have large inventories and creating sub-accounts for vendors made it easier for them to operate the Toolkart marketplace. This feature was available to the buyer too as the buyer sub-accounting module. User roles were defined with sub-accounts and ensured smooth splitting of responsibilities.
  • Vendor and Buyer Registration Validation: Vendors and buyers board and sign up on the registration form, which is verified by the system. It is only after this, that their accounts are created. This results in diligent validation and verification of both vendors and buyers, which increases the authenticity of resources onboarded.
  • Mobile Validation and GST Verification: With the integration of mobile validation and GST verification, the customer could enter the GST number and the system autofills data and fetches customer information.
  • Split Order Process: As the number of vendors increased, it became complex to handle customers' orders that had multi-vendor products. The Split Order Process identified the relevant vendor and channeled the order to them while creating an order ID.
  • Return and Replacement: Customers can conveniently request a return and replacement of their orders. Once the request is made, vendors are informed and the right product can be sent.
