As a premium furniture brand, Alankaram accesses the most skilled karigars and karigari (craftsmen) from across India to create highly customized, personalized, and luxurious furniture. Their unique furniture is an amalgamation of high-quality wood, years of fine craftsmanship, and varied colors and textures which turn furniture into premium comfort for their owners.

  • The client wanted to transition from their SAP ERP and WooCommerce solution to a robust, integrated, and customized e-commerce application.
  • The client’s product repository was not mapped to their manufacturing process which resulted in extensive manual effort, this was a key reason driving the change in e-commerce platforms.
  • Another crucial need for the client was for deep personalization options of Product Level Attributes.

Navabrind proposed Odoo ERP as a single data repository across touchpoints and as a single source of truth.

During the initial phase of the project, coordination was hindered by the absence of a single point of contact from the client. This was resolved by suggesting the client hire a dedicated resource exclusively invested in identifying, managing, and coordinating the client’s e-commerce technology needs.

The dedicated Odoo consultant facilitated communication on short and long-term business needs, enhanced collaboration, and information exchange, which accelerated the pace of the project.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  • The Navabrind team locked step with the client on ERP updates and software enhancements. The clients’ sales, purchase, accounts, production, and quality control departments communicated with our team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • The data collated from the client’s teams for Master Data of Products, Customer and Vendor Data, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and other processes were part of the implementation and data upload. We also worked closely with the client on UAT and training.
  • As the project progressed, we transitioned from virtual coordination to onsite client meetings which resulted in better analysis of the requirements and faster implementation.

  • The project requires Product Master enhancements and the team at Navabrind is dedicated to this effort. We also offer support related to smaller customizations and ensure the Odoo ERP is delivering on business objectives.
